WHAT IS THE MOST IDEAL VAPE TEMPERATURE
When it comes to vaping our favorite dry herbs and concentrates, we all have our own temperature preferences. Some of us like to vape at high temperatures to get the most vapor, while others prefer to take it slow and go at a much lower temperature for the most flavor. No matter your tastes, there is an ideal range for every type of vaping modality. Whether you enjoy dry herbs or wax, certain temperature settings can make a profound difference in your vape session. Not all material will vape the same, and it is crucial to know what settings can give you the most bang for your buck. Here we will be looking at these differences and how to achieve the best temperature setting for your vape material.
The Best Temperature Range for Dry Herb
While most high-quality dry herb vapes can accommodate a wide range of temperature preferences, you will commonly find them capable of vaping anywhere between 300 to over 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The truth is that for most dry herbs, there is an ideal range that you can set the vape to in order to get the best vapor, flavor and effect from your dry herb vape sessions.
If you have incredibly dry, dry herbs with low moisture levels, a setting between 325 – 350 F is most ideal. For most dry herbs on the market, you will find the most ideal vape temperature to be between 350 – 375 F. This is the best temperature range to ensure you are not vaping too low or too high. For herbs with a much higher moisture content, you will want to set the vape from 375 – 400 F, but not any higher than that!
You will also find that the higher the temperature, the thicker and more pronounced the vapor will be. So, in the end even if you have very dry herbs and want to vape at a higher temperature to get thicker vapors, you can do so. Just be aware that combustion is more likely at higher temperatures with drier herbs.
Best Temperature Range for Wax
The best vape temperature range will commonly be found on 3 in 1 vapes, as they can accommodate any vape modality. You will find that these can go over 400 F. The most ideal temperature range for wax concentrates will be between 315 – 450 F.
You will not want to go above or below these temperatures as you will find your sessions to be less enjoyable. The most common range for low-temp wax vaping happens to be between 330 – 435 F. By experimenting with different settings between this range you will find a sweet spot that suits you the best.
Just like dry herbs, the higher you go, the thicker your vapor. Lower temperatures will produce more pronounced flavors while making your wax last a bit longer. No matter your preference, 3 in 1 vapes tend to be one of the most preferred ways to consume wax concentrates without relying on a dab rig. This range can also be extended to e-juice and oil concentrates.
Why Temperature Is So Important
No matter what you are vaping, if you were to try to vape at a temperature below the recommended 315 F, chances are you would have a session devoid of any flavor or vapor. On the flip side, if you were to vape at a temperature above 400 F, you run the risk of combusting your dry herbs, or losing flavor and material for your concentrates.
The best method would be to start at the lowest temperature recommended here and simply work your way up to a level that you find comfortable. Over time this will become second nature as you acquire material and put it in your vaporizer.
The more moisture your material has, the higher you will want to vape at, with drier materials on the low end. Experiment with different settings and keep within these ranges to get the most out of your vape sessions!
