Review: Zelos M80 kit – Aspire
The Zelos M80 kit by Aspire consists of an integrated-battery box mod and a 4 ml clearomizer. Equally at ease with mouth-to-lung (MTL) as with restricted direct lung (RDL) thanks to its mesh coils, it’s easy to use and offers some nice extra features.
An ideal kit
While box-and-tank kits are becoming increasingly rare in favor of pods, some manufacturers like Aspire continue to offer them—and they still appeal to many vapers. The Zelos M kit makes it easy to vape either MTL or restricted DL. The mod provides solid battery life, and the clearomizer is one of the best on the market.

Simple, effective box
On the underside of the Zelos M80, a switch locks the device by sliding from the open to closed position. It’s simple and especially practical when carrying it in a bag. No more repeated presses on the fire button to turn the box off. The switch is discreet and doesn’t affect the aesthetics.
On top of the mod, you can fit a clearomizer up to 25 mm without overhang. The kit is designed to be used with the included Nautilus 3SR, which measures 24 mm. The 510 connector is spring-loaded to ensure a solid connection with the tank.
On the front, the screen integrates the fire button, used to produce vapor, plus “+” and “–” buttons, and a USB-C port to recharge the 2600 mAh built-in battery. More on that later. You can vape while charging.
The overall assembly is flawless. No play in the components, with clean finishes throughout. It feels comfortable in hand, whether left- or right-handed.
The screen is in color, displaying all the essentials: selected wattage, battery percentage, coil resistance, puff duration, and more.
The Zelos M80 menu allows you to choose screen animations during vaping, or the LED colors on the side of the mod.
Navigation through vaping modes includes the classic variable wattage, voltage, temperature control, bypass, and more. Most of these won’t be used with the included clearomizer, but they allow the setup to evolve over time.
Screen brightness is decent. The mod can deliver up to 80 W. With a 2600 mAh battery, running at 80 W means several recharges for a full day’s use. But the kit is intended to stay below 30 W with the supplied coils. This feels coherent and perfectly suited, whether vaping restricted DL or MTL.
Versatile clearomizer
The Zelos M80 kit comes with the Nautilus 3SR clearomizer. It’s versatile, allowing either MTL or restricted DL vaping. It comes with two drip tips, one for each style.
Filling is simple: slide the top cap to reveal the fill port. The press area is marked in red for clarity. The Nautilus 3SR accommodates most bottle tips. With a 4 ml capacity, it’s comfortable enough to avoid constant refills.
At the base, an adjustable airflow ring fine-tunes the air supply to the coil. The wider the opening, the airier the draw. The tighter it is, the more restrictive the pull.
The Nautilus 3SR features seven airflow holes of increasing size. The smallest offers a very tight draw with warm vapor, while the largest is tailored for a much more dynamic restricted DL vape. The options cover most vapers’ preferences.
The ring turns smoothly and doesn’t move on its own.
The clearomizer is easy to disassemble. Parts fit and screw together without issue. A spare glass tank is included in case the original gets damaged, though it’s protected by a metal cage that reinforces it while adding to the overall design.
The coil simply slots into place. Once reassembled, the clearomizer is ready to go.
Two coils are included: the Nautilus Mesh 1.8 Ω (10–14 W) and the Nautilus Mesh 0.3 Ω (23–28 W). The Nautilus 3SR is compatible with eight coil models.
As for performance—do we really need to introduce Nautilus coils anymore? For years they’ve been a benchmark for flavor and quality. Unsurprisingly, in our tests we found no flaws with this clearomizer. Flavor is accurate, consistent, and above all, it can deliver a true MTL experience.
Overall, this kit is an excellent choice for vapers who don’t plan to go over 30 W and want decent autonomy. In restricted DL, performance is just as good.
