Review: Thiner Pod Kit From Smok

So we have this little beauty from the well known brand that is Smok. Smok have always been known for producing eye-catching yet high quality mods, pods etc.

Now we have the Thiner pod kit. As you can see from the get go that this little kit is well…….. thin!

The standard contents from every Smok box:

Whats in the box????

·Thiner Device (700mAh)
·Thiner meshed 0.8ohm Pod (2ml)
·Type-C charging cable
·Chunky user manual
·Warning card
·Warranty card

First Impression??

Well it has an auto draw feature which I find nice as you don’t have to worry about clicking like mad when you want a quick drag before jumping on the bus or going into work.

The built in 700mAh battery should keep you going for a good few days depending on how much you use it. All the data you need is displayed with its 0.69 inch OLED screen that is easily visible (battery life, wattage, coil resistance and puff counter)

Standard Type C USB charger. I find it takes a couple of hours for a full charge.
It has a small airflow hole on the side to give you that MTL hit.

It's about the size of a bank card/credit card so very portable

Menu and Pod section breakdown

So to adjust the wattage you firstly need to turn the device on.

·Standard fast 5 clicks to turn on/off
·Press the menu button 3 times to adjust the wattage settings, as there is only a single button you will have to go round in a loop to get the wattage you need but as it only goes up to 25W so it won't take long
·Press and hold the menu button to reset the puff counter

The 2ml pod itself houses a 0.8ohm mesh coil with a 45 degree angled chimney exhaust and can be filled on the side flipping the little red bung off. It hasn’t got the biggest filling holes so this makes me think it was made for smaller nozzles like the ones off a 10ml salt bottle. Don’t forget to take the sticker off the bottom off the pod otherwise it will not read on the device.

Final Thoughts??

It's certainly a stylish pod kit that will quite easily fit into your pockets or handbag. I personally believe this was designed for the new vaper as it's fairly simple to use with its adjustable wattage (5W-25W). It may not sound a lot but who wants to push a 0.8ohm coil past 25W???? Well certainly not me. I find 12-15W is a good all round number to use. Overall I do like the kit and it's certainly very handy for a quick MTL fix as it's one of the thinnest kits I’ve seen so far. I will definitely keep this in my pocket for a just in case moment.
