Review: Soul 2 – Geekvape

The Soul 2 Pod by Geekvape is a clever blend of design and efficiency. Housed under a cap, the 4 ml tank features high-performance coils. With its 2100 mAh battery, the Soul 2 proves to be efficient.

Discretion and design

A little over a year after releasing the original Soul, Geekvape brings out a second version that’s even more understated and discreet. It retains the core elements of the first model but adds a larger battery for longer vaping sessions. An efficient and stylish device.

An efficient pod with a sleek design

A USB-C port located underneath the Soul 2 enables fast charging of its built-in 2100 mAh battery, 600 mAh more than the previous model. The battery life matches the pod’s compact format.

The screen isn’t very bright, making it hard to read in bright outdoor conditions. This is our main gripe with the Soul 2. While the screen is seamlessly integrated into the design—almost invisible when inactive—the lack of brightness can be inconvenient. It’s a pity, because aside from that, the Soul 2 performs flawlessly.

The tank is concealed under a magnetic cap that fits perfectly. Two opposing windows allow you to check the e-liquid level without removing the cap. On the front, only the fire button slightly protrudes from the body of the battery.

The Soul 2 pod offers simple settings, including power adjustment, fire button lock, theme selection (which displays a small icon), and puff counter. Vapor can be produced either by pressing the button or through auto-draw. All functions are basic but focus on the essentials, offering a few practical settings for vaping.

Two cartridges come in the box:

One Soul V2 with a 0.6-ohm coil for use between 15 and 30 W, and another Soul V2 with a 1-ohm coil for vaping between 5 and 15 W. These two options allow for either very restricted direct-to-lung vaping or tight mouth-to-lung draws.

At the top of the cartridge, a rotating ring adjusts the airflow for a tighter or looser draw. The airflow control is very precise. To access it, simply remove the cartridge’s magnetic cover.

Filling is standard for a pod system. A silicone tab lifts to allow refilling the 4 ml tank.
Flavor performance on the Soul 2 is excellent. Vapor production is in line with the size of the device and its battery life.

Easy to use, the Soul 2 focuses on the essentials by providing a simple, high-quality vaping experience. We do, however, regret the screen’s insufficient brightness.
