New vape kits from Vaporesso
Vaporesso have been leading innovation in the vaping industry since they were established in 2015. They have used these years of expertise to create a range of Vaporesso vape kits which includes options for everyone, from beginners to advanced vapers.
I’ve been taking a look at the latest vape kits from Vaporesso to help you choose which one is right for you!
XROS Mini
Following the success of their XROS kit, Vaporesso have expanded the XROS family, the latest addition being the ultra-compact XROS mini. Don't be fooled by its small size, this petite device packs a 1000 mAh battery, plenty of power to get the average vaper through a full day of vaping.
I found this kit ideal for on-the-go use, it is small enough to easily store in your bag or pocket and the top fill design of the pods makes it incredibly easy to refill, even if you're in a rush.
I really appreciate the leak-resistance technology they have utilised in the pod design, as it really gives you peace of mind when you store the kit that you won't be having any unexpected leaking.
This device is a perfect little starter kit, it keeps it nice and simple with no buttons or additional functions that may be daunting to a new user. Simply fill the pod with your preferred 50/50 e-liquid, allow 10 minutes or so for thee-liquid to absorb, and you are ready to go.
Because the XROS mini has a classic pod kit design, once the coil within the pod starts to burnout you just need to replace the whole pod so there is no need to worry about changing the coil. It is absolutely perfect as a first kit to help you make the switch from smoking to vaping.
LUXE Q
The LUXE Q is another pod kit from Vaporesso that is designed with new vapers in mind.
As the name suggests, this kit has a very luxe feel, and the panelling on the outside has a funky faux crocodile skin design that is really eye catching and makes this kit stand out amongst other devices.
In the interest of keeping it simple for new vapers, the LUXE Q is also a classic pod kit with disposable pods, a 1000 mAh built-in battery, and draw activation which means you just need to inhale through the mouthpiece to vape, no buttons needed. This kit also utilises my favourite style of mouthpiece, the duckbill, which is really comfortable to use and makes it easy to pop the mouthpiece off when you need to refill the pod.
The LUXE Q kit comes with two pod options, both of which are designed for a mouth-to-lung vaping style. Mouth-to-lung, or MTL, describes when you inhale the vapour first into your mouth and then into your lungs, the same way you would inhale when smoking a cigarette. This helps it feel familiar to new vapers and helps makes the transition from smoking to vaping easier.
A feature I really like about this device is that the two pods available have a different resistance coil and also allow for a slightly different amount of air flow. The 0.8 pod has a faster ramp up time and offers an airier draw, whereas the 1.2 pod ramps up a little slower and has a more restricted air flow. This lets you experiment to find the pod that feels most comfortable for you.
XROS 2
The XROS 2 is the updated version of the original XROS device, combining all the benefits of a traditional pod kit with some exciting added extras.
The XROS 2 has a few functions that allow you to personalise your vaping experience, such as the choice between button activation or draw activation. This means that you can push the fire button on the front of the device to vape, or you can inhale through the mouthpiece and the device will automatically draw, letting you choose which style of vaping you prefer. This button also allows you to lock and unlock the device the device, so you can lock it when not in use.
A feature I particularly like is the adjustable airflow. This lets you adjust how tight or loose the draw is depending on your personal preferences. The airflow can be adjusted by sliding the small switch on the body of the device, allowing full control so you can find the exact setting you prefer.
The XROS 2 utilises disposable pods, but offers both a 0.8 and 1.2 ohm option, both of which come in the box when you purchase the device. Because the e-liquid inlet holes on the coils are so large, this pod kit can actually be used with 50/50 and high VG e-liquid, although it is important to remember that the pods will likely last longer with a 50/50 e-liquid.
Because of this I would consider this device to be both a starter and an intermediate kit depending on the user. If you are a new vaper who is looking for a device that has some variability and additional features, the device will be ideal. But it could also be an excellent next step if you have been vaping for a while using a more basic device like a prefilled pod system and want to upgrade to a more powerful and complex device.
GEN AIR 40
The GEN AIR 40 is an excellent all rounder intermediate device that bridges the gap between starter kits and advanced devices.
This device is the perfect way to get to grips with a variable voltage device. This means that the device offers the option to change the power output, in this case there are four pre-set power settings to choose from letting you try out different settings in a user-friendly way.
The body of the device has a rounded design that is ergonomic and fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. The pods also have a built-in adjustable airflow slider that allows you to select the exact amount of airflow that you prefer. Using this adjustable airflow, the GEN AIR 40 allows for both a mouth-to-lung and restricted direct-to-lung vaping style. Select a tight airflow with the 0.8 coil and a 50/50 e-liquid for a MTL vape or open it all the way with the 0.4 coil and high VG e-liquid for a restricted DTL vape. I tried it both ways and, although I am usually an exclusively MTL girl, I found both options super comfortable and enjoyable and it makes this a versatile bit of kit!
Unlike their other pod kits which opt for a traditional disposable pod design, Vaporesso have chosen a changeable coil pod for the GEN AIR 40, which can be used with the GTX coils. Being able to change the coil means that the pod can be used repeatedly in the same way as a tank on other vape kits. The coils also have a push-fit design that makes them super easy to change.
The power output combines with the 1800 mAh battery in this kit makes for a large and dense vapour production, the perfect option if you are looking for an intermediate device with plenty of power and variability.
GEN 200
The GEN 200 device targets the more advanced vapers, offering a sub-ohm vape with lots of power. Something that really stuck out to me about this device is just how lightweight it is. It is a dual battery device that takes 2 x 18650 batteries which do add some weight, but the device itself is surprisingly light for its size. It also has a very solid, sleek, and minimalistic design that looks really nice and feels very sturdy.
The GEN 200 offers a wattage range of 5 – 220 watts and has a 0.96” TFT screen that displays the wattage, remaining battery, making it easy to keep track of when to change your batteries and what settings you are using. It also makes it easy to change the settings as there are three settings buttons below the screen as well as an additional fire button on the side of the device.
The GEN 200 kit comes with the iTank, which is a sub-ohm tank that pairs perfectly with high VG e-liquids. You have the choice of two coil options, 0.2 or 0.4 ohm, which each have a mesh coil that offers maximum flavour and longevity. I found the coils offered really crisp, well rounded flavour and lasted well. It also comes with a replacement glass for the tank which is really handy if you are a little clumsy like me!
This device is ideal if you are making the transition from an intermediate device to an advanced one, as it offers all the bells and whistles you are looking for but remains user-friendly and intuitive.
Target 200
The Target 200 is similar to the GEN 200, but offers an ultra-sturdy exterior with a unique cage-like frame and water-resistant braid handle that is ideal for those who are a little more likely to drop or bang their device.
The Target 200 features Vaporesso’s integrated AXON chipset for a state-of-the-art vaping experience and offers a wattage range of 5 – 220 watts and five built-in vaping modes.
This is a dual battery device that takes 2 x 18650 batteries, this is really handy if you’re going to be out of the house all day as you can take an extra set of charged batteries and swap them out when needed.
The Target 200 also comes with the iTank which has a turbo airflow system, making it incredibly easy to adjust the airflow to your liking. It is a great advanced kit, ideal if you are looking for a big vapour production and a high powered device.
If you like the look of the Target 200 kit and are making the upgrade from an intermediate device you can pick up everything you need to get started in our Target 200 bundle deal. The bundle includes the device, 2 x 18650 batteries, and 50 ml of high VG e-liquid + a nicotine shot for just £59.95.
