HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN E-LIQUID IN 6 EASY STEPS

Given that pretty much everything you’re going to need can be found in your pantry, making your own E-liquid is not going to be too challenging. However, you'll want to know exactly what to do so you're not wasting time and money.

We’re going to guide you through a six-step guide to brewing up your own bespoke E-liquid.

PREPARATION: FINDING THE EQUIPMENT AND THE INGREDIENTS
While cooking up your own batches of E-liquid will save you a few dollars in the long term, you are going to need to invest in some equipment and ingredients before starting.

BOTTLES
You’re going to need a few bottles. They come in 5ml, 10ml, 30, 50 and 100ml sizes. If you are well organized, before you start, you could keep the bottles from your store-bought E-liquids to save a few cents.

CONTAINERS
You’ll need containers, and the size will depend on the size of the batch you’re going to be making.

PIPETTES AND SYRINGES
These are really important if you’re brewing up your own vape as the measurements need to be precise to ensure the nicotine, PG and VG flavor concentrate is totally spot on.

You will also need paper towels and powder-free plastic gloves.

STEP 1: GATHER YOUR INGREDIENTS
If you can make a cocktail, you can make your own E-liquid. It’s just a matter of combining the ingredients together to blend the taste you’re looking for.

1. PG AND VG
Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerine (VG) are the two harmless organic liquids needed as a base for your E-liquid. These harmless liquids are found in pretty much every candy you've ever eaten.

PG is the thinner liquid that gives you the hit to the chest when you inhale, and VG is what produces the clouds and a smoother inhale. We recommend that you use both PG and VG, but some vapers choose to mix 100 percent VG E-liquid.

2. VAPE JUICE FLAVOR CONCENTRATES
Source your flavor concentrates from a reputable vape retailer as not all concentrates are created for brewing your own E-liquid. You can get as creative as you want at this point.

3. NICOTINE
Nicotine is another key ingredient, but it is not vital. You can make nicotine-free E-liquid.

STEP 2: DETERMINE YOUR VG AND PG MEASUREMENTS.
You’re going to need a vape calculator open for this part. Knowing whether you want a thick or a thin vape or whether you’re after a bit of nicotine is important as being aware of what you are going to enjoy is the key to making this a success.

Once you have opened the calculator and decided what type of brew you’re after, you can use it to guide you with the precise measurements.

STEP 3: FORMULATE THE BASE MIXTURE
You’re going to want to be precise here, so put those gloves on!
Now that you’ve got the precise measurements you need from the base calculator, use the clean syringes to add the right amount of liquids into the beaker.

STEP 4: ADD THE FLAVOR CONCENTRATES

STEP 5: ADD THE NICOTINE
You’re going to need all your concentration at this point. Adding too much nicotine can spoil the whole brew. Keep in mind that the strength of the nicotine should be weighed up in comparison to the total amount of vape juice being made. This part can be a bit tricky, but your online calculator will steer you in the right direction.

STEP 6: BOTTLE IT AND LET IT STEEP
Before you bottle it, give it a good stir. Next, use a clean syringe to transfer the E-liquid from the mixing beaker to the storage bottles.

ONCE ALL THE MIXTURE HAS BEEN DECANTED, GIVE THEM ONE MORE SHAKE.
Your job is now pretty much done. You’ve just got to wait for a couple of days to let the flavor steep. Give it 4 to 5 days, and then you’ll be ready to get vaping!
That’s all there is to making your own vape juice. It’s not rocket science, but it does require you to be careful with your measurements and take your time. Enjoy your creations.
