We can certainly say this single atomizer started the trend of mesh atomizers after years of regular coils, and for many reasons. However, there is one core feature as to why this is one of the best mesh coil vape atomizers, and it is the innovative spring loaded ceramic block.

What this does is keep the cotton pushed up against the mesh wire, ensuring constant contact which allows for zero burnt hits. Also, with this design, it means less cotton changes and optimal performance. There’s other features as well which makes this one a top performer such as its fully adjustable honeycomb airflow system, clamp style deck, and the ability to install regular coils as well.

If you’re on the fence about mesh coil vapes, and not sure where to start, then we’d highly recommend checking out the Profile RDA. It’s easy to use, performs really well, and is quite affordable too. We’d say it’s not only one of the best mesh coil vapes, but one of the Best RDAs you can buy. For you vapers wanting the best of the best, you’ll for sure want to add the Profile Titanium Edition RDA to your collection.

Yachtvape Meshlock RDA

Key Features

·Wide Bore Drip Tip
·24mm Overall Diameter

Here’s another unique and innovative atomizer designed specifically for mesh wire. Yachtvape’s Meshlock RDA offers the vaper another option for those new to this style of coils since it makes the coil installs super easy. This is thanks to its press to open terminals, where you simply press in the posts and the post holes will open; therefore there is no need for any tools when installing your mesh coil.

If you’re a fan of squonking, then you’d love this RDA even more as the three e-juice inlet holes make it ideal for this type of vaping. Now, what this feature does it fully saturate your mesh coil and wick, and suctions it right back into the squonk bottle. So if you enjoy vaping with squonk mods, then you’d definitely be happy with this one. Aside from these two features, it does have one more that really sets it above many others which is the top angled airflow. Airflow will travel from the top, then hit the side, and top of your mesh wire then back up through the drip tip. This airflow design provides awesome flavor, and is essentially leak proof.

Wotofo Profile Unity RTA

Key Features
·Spring Loaded Ceramic Support
·Clamp Style Build Deck
·Dual Adjustable Airflow
·3.5ml or 5ml E-Liquid Capacity
·Threaded Top Fill Design

It’s to no surprise (again), when talking about best mesh coil vapes that the other Profile atomizer would be listed. This time around, the Profile Unity RTA is a collaborative effort between Wotofo, Mr. JustRight1 and TVC. However, instead of an RDA, it’s a rebuildable tank, taking mesh coil vapes to the next level.

As expected, the Wotofo Profile Unity RTA does feature the same spring loaded ceramic block which allows the wick to stay pressed against the mesh wire, and a clamp style deck. Another unique feature is the airflow, which comes in from the side rather than under. It can hold either 3.5ml or 5ml with the extension kit installed, and fills from the top.

The Profile Unity keeps many of the same features as the RDA, but that’s definitely a good thing as the design just works. Why change something when it isn’t broken right? So you’d get a similar vape experience, but with a tank on top, allowing you to vape for quite some time before needing to refill. If you were a fan of the original RDA, then this RTA is an absolute must have. Check out this wicking tutorial below to get the most out of your Profile Unity.

Damn Vape Doom Mesh RTA

Key Features
·3D Liquid Flow System
·4ml E-Juice Capacity
·Easy to Wick
·Clamp Style Building Deck
·26mm Overall Diameter

Here’s another excellent mesh rebuildable tank, the Doom RTA. Honestly, this one caught us off guard, and we’re glad to have come across this RTA. There’s two killer features to this mesh RTA that really makes it shine. Firstly, the 3D liquid flow system, which essentially ensures that e-liquid is feeding to your cotton and mesh coil. This type of wicking system heavily reduces the chance of any dry hit from occurring, which honestly is a pretty big deal when it comes to mesh coil vapes.

Secondly, is the ease of wicking. There’s no fussing about when it comes to wicking the Damn Vape Doom RTA, simply cut the cotton to the end of the deck and gently stuff your cotton into those generously sized wicking channels. After that, you’re good to go. Airflow is sloped as well, delivering a smooth vape experience, and plenty of flavor. It’s fully adjustable, so you can fine tune it to how loose or tight you want the draw to be.

While this may not be the most popular option, it sure is one of the best mesh coil vapes available today. With how easy it is to wick, and the 3D liquid flow system, it’s really hard to beat, and one of our personal favorites.

Firstly, there are two different options available which are the Kanthal A1, and Stainless Steel 316L. What makes the KA1 variant unique is that it is a perforated Kanthal material with increased density and surface area. With its micro weave netting design, it simply outperforms most, if not all other mesh coil strips. The amount of crisp and clean flavor the OFRF nexMesh replacement coils offer is simply amazing.

If you’re not satisfied with your current mesh setup, or simply want to improve upon your mesh atomizer, then you’ll definitely want to check out this one. It’s on the pricier side in comparison to some of the others, but it’s worth every single cent.

·Compatible with Single & Dual Coil Mesh Builds
·Coil Resistances: 0.26 ohm, 0.22 ohm, 0.13 ohm

The Mechlyfe Mesh Coils, designed specifically for the Slatra RDA is actually compatible with pretty much any other rebuildable mesh atomizer. However, they’re designed in a way that they can be used for a dual coil setup; although there aren t many dual coil mesh atomizers on the market aside from the one mentioned. Regardless, they do offer some mesh coils that pack a punch in flavor, and can be vaped at higher wattages, especially for dual coils.

Depending on which type of coil resistance you enjoy, Mechlyfe has got you covered. There’s three options in total, which include a 0.26 ohm, a 0.22 ohm and a much lower 0.13 ohm. In a single coil setup they can be vaped between 30w and 50w. However, in a dual coil mesh setup they’re able to handle up to a whopping 110w. However, when vaping at these higher wattages and lower resistances, we do recommend understanding ohms law and battery safety beforehand.

Guide To Mesh Vapes

How To Install Mesh Coils
The first aspect to mesh coils is something that’s asked quite frequently, and that is how to install mesh coils? Well, it will depend on the exact atomizer since not all are designed the same. However, we can cover the basics which will inform you on how to install a mesh coil properly.

Now, there’s a couple of things you want to keep in mind when installing a mesh vape coil into your atomizer. Firstly, you want to ensure that the atomizer you are using is compatible with these style coils as not all are created to be able to use mesh strips. Secondly, you want to be very gentle with the mesh coil strip, bending it out of shape will cause issues when wicking and vaping.

Depending on the atomizer you’re using, there’s a tool included that will allow you to easily form the mesh strip into how you need it to be. It’s usually a small rod that’s rounded so when you place the mesh strip over it, it’ll bend somewhat in the shape of a semi circle. The mesh strip will curve so that the edges are parallel with one another. This is key when installing a mesh coil, as you want it to be as even as possible from side to side.
Thirdly, when installing the mesh coil, you want to ensure that the coil is tightened down securely. As mentioned previously, many of the rebuildable mesh atomizers feature a clamp style post, so you want to trap the mesh wire within that clamp and tighten down. After drying burning, which we’ll cover next, you want to make sure it’s still tightened down all the way as in some cases, the screw can slightly back out during this process.

After all of this is done, double check the mesh strip coil that it’s even, and each side is the same. Once you’ve checked this, and everything looks as it should, the mesh coil is now properly installed.

How To Dry Burn Mesh Wire
Another aspect we’ll cover in our guide to mesh coil vapes is how to dry burn mesh wire. This is definitely not the same as dry burning regular coils for flavor such as Fused Claptons, Aliens and even standard round wire builds. So, if you’re a seasoned vaper, you’re gonna want to treat mesh coils completely different as they’re completely different animals.

Once you’ve installed the mesh vape coil properly, you’ll want to start off at a very low wattage. For most cases, between 10w and 20w will be just enough to get these glowing just perfectly. When drying burning mesh coils, simply tap the firing button and it’ll light up quickly.

These mesh style coils have incredibly fast ramp up, so you want to avoid keeping the firing button pressed for long. When dry burning, keep an eye on the coil to make sure it’s glowing from the inside out, just like any other coil. Just a few clicks of the fire button of your box mod will do the trick, and it’ll be glowing fine. Honestly, this process should take you no longer than 45 seconds. Don’t overdo it though as you can risk ruining the mesh strip!

How To Properly Wick Mesh
The last step in our ultimate guide to mesh coils is probably the most crucial, and that is how to wick mesh coils. When wicking mesh coils, it’s much different than regular coil builds as it requires way more cotton than you’d expected. You may even think when first wicking mesh that you’re using too much cotton when in reality, these strips really do require it.

So, when wicking a mesh coil strip, you want to ensure that you have enough, and for some it’s recommended that you have about 5mm to 6mm. It boils down to the actual coil or atomizer, but it’s typically around that much, even up to 7mm. As always, you want to make sure your cotton is fluffy as this helps with the wicking process.

Once you’ve got your cotton ready, gently pull it through the mesh. You want to avoid moving the mesh by much; hence is why we recommend gently doing this. When pulling the cotton through, ensure the cotton is covering the entire mesh strip from top to bottom. We can’t express how important it is to cover the entire mesh strip as the last thing you want is a dry hit from mesh, trust us we’ve learned the hard way.

After you’ve pulled the cotton through the entire mesh strip vape coil, simply trim off any excess on the ends, and tuck them into the wicking channel. Of course, this will differ based on which atomizer you’re using, and whether it’s an RDA or RTA. Now, you’ve wicked your mesh coil properly!

Is Mesh The Perfect Vape?
Now that we’ve given you all you need to know about getting started with mesh coils, and what are the best mesh coil vapes, you’re on your way to vaping mesh. As mentioned in the beginning, there are plenty of reasons as to why a vaper may choose mesh over any other vaping material, but one of the primary reasons as to why is the flavor.

The flavor you often get from mesh is crisp and clean, and honestly is unlike any other vape experience. Once some vapers try out mesh coils, they never want to go back. So, is mesh the perfect vape? For some, yes, but for others they simply prefer something else.

Just like everything else, there are pros and cons. Utilizing mesh in your atomizer can be tricky, especially if you’re new to it, but once you get started it gets easier. However, you always have to be careful since you’d want to avoid any type of dry hit situation as mesh delivers some of the worst dry hits we’ve ever experienced in our years of vaping. For those vapers who’ve mastered mesh, there’s no way other way to vape, but mesh. If you're wanting to vape mesh, but prefer not to handle the actual wire, then you'd definitely want one of those mesh coil tanks as they'll suit you best.

All in all, it all boils down to your preference, and if you enjoy this vaping style. Often mesh delivers a bit of a cooler vape experience too in comparison to traditional coils. If that’s something you think you’d enjoy, definitely give it a shot. You never know unless you give it a try, so once you do let us know what your thoughts are on mesh coils!

As always, thanks for reading our ultimate guide to mesh coils, and the best mesh coil vapes!
